The papers in this volume analyze the roles of fiscal policy in promoting and sustaining stabilization and growth in developing countries. In examining these crucial roles, the papers stress the importance of considering, in the analysis, the close interdependence between fiscal, monetary, and external sector policies. This book investigates linkages among components of the public sector, as well as between macro and micro aspects of fiscal policy, in developing countries.
